After a year of preparation the moment finally arrived. For a year I’d been planning and prepping, exploring, writing, and most of all – painting. As the Artist in Residence at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center I had the opportunity to fill 120 feet of wall space with my art. It was an incredible experience that allowed me the time and space to experiment and explore creating an exhibition that told my story.
Thank you to the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center for this opportunity, and to everyone who attended the reception or came on their own to see the work! A special thanks to my family for all of the help installing this show and for the moral support. I was honored to have many of the pieces find new homes, and am looking forward to continuing this creative journey as I continue to build my body of work.
